Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited is India’s largest pharmaceutical company. Ranbaxy was started in 1937 by Ranjit Singh and Gurbax Singh. It was incorporated in 1961 an went public in 1973. The Company is ranked amongst the top ten global generic companies and has a presence in 23 of the top 25 pharma markets of the world.

US is the biggest market for the company accounting for around 30% total sales. Recently Singh brothers have sold the company to Japanese company Daichi.
