Recently, State Bank of Saurashtra has been merged with SBI. In future, it may be possible to merge all the associate banks
into SBI and it may lead to SBI may become one of the biggest banks in the world. Presently SBI has more than 8000 ATMs with 10,000 branches.

SBI Life Insurance is a joint venture between the State Bank of India and BNP Paribas Assurance. In which SBI owns 74% of the total capital and BNP Paribas Assurance the remaining 26%.
