Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd. (SIIL) is the principal subsidiary of the Vedanta Resources Group. Its main business in India is production of copper. Its copper products include Continuous Cast Copper Rods, Copper Wire Bars, Bus bars, Billets, Ingots, Moulds and Other semis, Copper based alloys and downstream products, Copper tubes, strips and foils.
It is also involved in production of chemical products such as Sulphuric Acid, Phosphoric Acids, Phospho Gypsum, Hydro Fluo Silicic Acid etc. Presently company is focussing on power generation projects. It is setting up thermal power plant in orissa with a capacity of 2,400 MW and also setting up few wind energy projects.
