Bhav copy is the list of quotes of all companies that are listed on NSE. It has details like Last traded price, Opening, previous close etc details and Quantity details. You can download a bhav copy on NSE at the below link http://www.nse.com ->NSCCL ->Notifications -> Archives ->Equities ->Bhavcopy

I have had a look at NSE’s BHAV copy details PDF. It is not given there too :-) If anyone knows the expansion, pls post here. My guess: Bid History ArchiVe.

I don’t think BHAV has some expansion. Bhav is a hindi word that means price. Bhav copy is kind of price book where you can see historical prices of all the stocks.

Yes, Bhav means price. Its a remnant of pre-electronic trading era.

I want to know that I have purchased L&T Infrastructure bonds in Nov2010 thru my account in HDFC Securities. But still I have not received any certificate to prove tax authorities for tax saving. Can u tell me how to get the certificate

Jagdish
You can either ask HDFC for that or just take a printout of the screen where you can show that you have bought the bond.
